Muscadet & Oysters: a classic, perfect pairing. The best season for oysters? We're right in the middle of it! So when we heard that Pierre-Henri Gadais, 5th generation winemaker behind Domaine Gadais, would be in town, we had no choice but to get a Muscadet and Oyster pairing on the calendar!
Next Wednesday, March 5th, Pierre-Henri will be at Solano Cellars to walk the full scope of textural complexity and nuance that Melon de Bourgogne is capable of, and highlighting the effect that the terroir of Muscadet has on the wine it produces. Each wine will be paired with a different oyster preparation - raw, charbroiled, fried, and in gumbo - for the perfect celebration of the season!
