Jean-Marie Rimbert is famed as a master of the old-vine Carignan that Saint Chinian is known for... but its his work with schist-grown Cinsault that has us chilling and glugging with a wanton and wide-eyed abandon. “Cousin Oscar” is named after his girlfriend’s older cuz, a man supposedly irresistable to the local ladies. We don’t know about that, but his namesake wine sure is! Naturally made, this is pure berry-fruited, lightly spiced loveliness. 100% Cinsault, and 110% chugworthy.
