Some stores have shop dogs. We have a shop rockstar, and his name is John Lockwood, of Enfield Wines. (When he’s Governor of California, we’ll say we were among the first to have understood his greatness.) Primarily sourced from a 40+ year old, own-rooted vineyard in the Sierra Foothills that almost burned down in last summer’s wildfires, there’s also some Haynes Vineyard and Heron Lake fruit in here. White peach, beeswax, dried thyme, fresh mown hay, and the unmistakable taste of late-summer no-fog not-too-hot trans-Californian sunshine.
