This might count as one of our best finds of the decade. Not only does this tiny winery sell 90% of their fruit to the famed Priorat producer Alvaro Palacios, but they still managed to hold back enough to make their own bottling... of some of the most sought-after grapes in Spain. The $25 price tag is insane considering the fact that this is old school micro-production (hand-numbered!) Priorat. Luxuriously textured, with chocolate-infused licorice, pipe tobacco, black plum, fig, aged leather, you name it. Decant this gem for a few hours, and start preparing that dry rub -- you’re gonna need it.
