2021 Domaine de la Saraziniere Le Pavillon Chardonnay

Pros know: for value white Burgundy, there’s one place to look. The Maconnais district, the southernmost part of Burgundy. And within the Maconnais itself? Well, for *our* money, we think you’d be pretty hard pressed to find another white Burg that delivers this much complexity for this little pocket change. There’s a tremendous coiled energy here; a cool, pure, mineral core with accents of lemon rind and orchard fruit to boot. (This is the Chardonnay to serve to people who still want to try to hate it; they will readily, delightfully, pleasurably concede defeat.)
