100% Chardonnay from Grand Cru vineyards in the hilltop village of Cramant (not to be confused with cremant, which refers to all French sparkling wine made using the champagne method but outside of Champagne). This is the Lilbert’s specialty: they’ve been making Blanc de Blancs Champagne here since 1746. They only produce 2300 cases a year and the riddling is still done every morning by hand! This bottling is extremely focused with a delicate mousse, chalky apricot, lime, and yellow orchard fruit flavors leading to a delicate but lingering weight. Classy, classic stuff.
