The illustrious and alliterative Boudou, as his friends call him, took a millennia-old wine property that seen everything from Romans to revolutionaries (Chateau Massiac was burned to the ground during the French Revolution)... and restored it to perhaps the most glorious state it's been in in 2000 years! It sits in the gently sloping foothills that lead to the Mediterranean coast; a veritable vinous paradise. While well-known for its red wines, they make a tiny amount of some of the best Viognier found outside of the Northern Rhone. Notes of orange blossoms, white flowers, stone fruit and melon all conspire and lend some roundness to its nervy mineral backbone.
