Let us take you on an epic deep dive into the Jura, one of France’s most fascinating and singular wine regions. Nestled between Burgundy and the Swiss Alps, Jura punches far above its weight, producing wines that are as distinctive and soulful as the landscape itself—marked by high elevations, cool climates, and Jurassic-era limestone soils. With a long tradition of both oxidative and topped-up winemaking (ouillé), and an array of native grapes like Savagnin, Trousseau, and Ploussard, Jura wines deliver a wild, mineral-driven complexity that’s unlike anything else in the wine world.

This lineup is a Jura lover’s dream: We’ll start with the 2022 Fumey Chatelain Arbois Savagnin Ouillé, a fresh, aromatic expression of Savagnin made in the topped-up style, followed by the floral lift and tension of the 2018 Domaine des Ronces Chardonnay Florale. Then we turn to the deeper, more serious 2019 Rousset-Martin Savagnin Perrières, a layered, oxidative take that shows the grape’s full range. On the red side, we’ll taste the juicy, energetic 2023 Domaine de Saint Pierre “G.G.” Gamay from Fabrice Dodane, alongside the elegant 2022 Kevin Bouillet Jura Trousseau, and finish with the delicate, earthy charm of the 2020 Léo Petit Ploussard from Arbois-Pupillin—the spiritual home of the grape. Get ready for wild aromatics, electric acidity, and a glimpse into the beating heart of one of France’s most exciting wine regions.
