Winemaker Kenny Likitprakong (he of Hobo, Folk Machine, & Ghostwriter fame) can’t resist buying high-quality Alexander Valley Chardonnay for his low-priced Camp wines. We’ve always liked Camp’s aesthetic: a laid back bottle of wine as good for post-backpacking rehydration... as it is for a white tableclothed roast chicken. But the quality continues to soar with every passing year. Kenny’s focus here is all about purity of fruit flavor, a precise Chardonnay that hits all the right spots... except the buttery ones! (At 12.5%, this is more Macon-Villages than Edna Valley.)
