It doesn’t get more local than this -- our friend and rising bad-ass winemaker Bret Hogan lives about ten blocks from this shop. This ain’t no charity case, though -- we think our Burgundy-trained neighbor (Côte West, get it?) makes the best Cali Sauv Blanc around. Sourced from the same vineyard Merry Edwards uses for her Sauvignon Blanc, widely acclaimed as one of California’s best.( If I were Merry, I don’t know if I’d share my grapes with someone quite this talented!) Dry and snappy, there’s lime, apple, and zippiness abundant here. Welcome to the West Côte!
