Cartello Cabernet is sourced entirely from the Mila Family Estate, a stunning 54-acre property in the foothills of Geyser Peak, no attention to detail has been spared. 2021 was a vintage with warm mild days during the growing season which allowed for full ripening and a bountiful harvest. All of the fruit was off the vine well before the late October wild fires. Aged 24 months in 50% new and 50% 2nd use oak. Supple tannins, integrated oak but with a backbone that’s build for the long haul!
