Andrew Rich shifted his career away from journalism, leaving New York City for winemaking school in Burgundy, and never looked back! Coming back stateside he casually visited the Pacific Northwest and it was love at first sight! Andrew is an innovator in the Willamette Valley. His approach to this Pinot Noir is rather fascinating, selecting vines specifically planted on volcanic soil Andrew gives us a seductive snapshot of the Eola-Amity Hills region. Damp earth, cherry, and floral notes on the nose, with tension and weightlessness on the palate. Pleasingly soft tannins set up a medium-long finish of finely ground black pepper and elderberry juice.
