Whether you’re new to Bordeaux or a raving old Claret-fiend, this is your next bottle. Cuz this is at once both a perfect 101-style intro experience... and an insider play. A blend of old-vine (60+ years in some spots) Cab and Merlot, it’s aged for 12-14 months in oak barrels, most of which are made from the oak forest lining the serene property! More delicate and less oomphy than some previous, hotter vintages, the 2018 is gorgeous, structured, and elegantly shot through with notes of blackcurrants and wet earth. Fantastic aging potential. (One of the wine mags gave it a 92 and said “wait till 2024.” We agree with half of that.)
