If we didn’t know what was in the glass here? We’d guess Nebbiolo from Barbaresco every single time. The resemblance is almost uncanny: that taut strawberryish, licorice-dusted, translucence to it that all but screams Nebbiolo. But it’s not. It’s Greece’s greatest red grape -- Xinomavro from Naoussa. We cannot stop drinking this stuff. Lamb meatballs, pizza, lentils, you name it. Greek out, and stump your resident wine wizard... or just enjoy going home with one of the best Old World red values in the store!
