Dominique Lafon is among the great legends of white burgundy. His family owns and farms (biodynamically) some of the most prized sites in Meursault and Puligny Montrachet from which he makes this Bourgogne Blanc. Dominique avoids oak, but incorporates oxygen thoughtfully such that his wines are neither oaky nor reductive, but rather classic -- rich and toasty, with steely minerality.
