At the end of the 1800’s Pietro Bordiga, owner of one of the most famous bars in Turin, decided to use his knowledge of botanicals to open a distillery. He chose the city of Cuneo for his location, as its alpine/maritime influences yielded herbs that are particularly rich in essential oils and aromatics. The Bianco is their flagship: incredibly well-balanced, with a kiss of sweetness contrasting gorgeously against the spicy herbs. Great all by itself over ice with an orange peel; will play amiably with a wide variety of gins; and perfect for spritzes if you're doing some armchair Italian travel....
