We get it - French wine is everywhere, and it isn't exactly a secret that France is home to some of the most vaunted vinous real estate in the world. But with such a saturated market comes an important question: how can you possibly determine which bottles are worthy of your attention? Luckily, importers like our friend Greg Montot make that question easy to answer, focusing on small, family run producers from across the country, from esteemed old domaines in Burgundy to tiny, upstart producers in his native Bugey and everything in between, all focused on the terroir, varietals, and tradition that make each region so uniquely compelling.

We'll have Greg in the tasting room this Thursday to pour through some new arrivals and shop staples. That means Burgundy and Champagne... but it also will present the opportunity to check out gems from some appellations that fly more under-the-radar. And just because we love a challenge, we'll have a blind pour thrown in at the end to draw out the secret (or not-so-secret) wine nerds among us!
