Come celebrate the hanging of our newest art show! Susannah Emerson is a visual artist and writer in San Francisco, CA. Her artworks lead with a love of line and color, and her portraits bend towards expressionism. This collection of drawings is part of the series "Both Gaze and Gloss" and centers posed women as they gaze back to explore witness, self-presentation, and what poet Ada Limon calls "the great eye of the world."
We'll also be joined by Alex Powar of T. Edwards Wines pouring a line-up of some of our favorite wines from Europe: Vin des Potes. Vin des Potes or "Buddy's Wine" is a collective of 13 winemakers across Europe, that share a commitment to sustainable farming practices like organic and biodynamic farming, as well as traditional winemaking techniques. Started by two friends, Basile Passe and Yoan Tavares, in 2016 the pair wanted to collaborate with different vignerons in different countries to bottle a unique cuvee each month. This year's wines from the project are outstanding and we can't wait to share them with you.
