Offshore Wines began in 2017, when founder Devon Magee (wine industry vet) was convinced by his good friends Christian Knott and Morgane Seuillot to import the first vintage of their new wine, Domaine Dandelion, into California. This wine soon became a cult classic, and Offshore was off to the races.
A sommelier in the UK recently called it “hands down my favourite Pet Nat on the planet.” We’ll be pouring the wine, along with 4 others from Offshore’s portfolio, on Thursday. That includes the most unique (and possibly best) Aligoté you will ever try from Domaine Didon and a masterpiece Sciacarello from Corsica. The theme here is VERY small (mostly French), thoughtful producers with beautiful wines that speak to the tiny pockets in which they are so carefully grown.
The Offshore motto is: “We love to drink the sh*t out of these wines, and we’re happier people for it; and we want to share this feeling - and these wines, these people, and their land - with anyone who is thirsty.” So if you’re thirsty, come by on Thursday night!
