Champagne w/ Emilie Lebeau @ Vine St. Thursday, April 17th

Emilie Lebeau and her husband Florent organically farm a small cluster of vineyards on the western edge of Champagne's Cote de Blanc in what seems to be Champagne's most of-the-moment village, Chavot-Courcourt. Nestled against the western border of the Cote de Blanc, 5 minutes south of Epernay and a few minutes northwest of Grand Cru villages Cuis and Cramant, Chavot is a treasure trove of old vine Chardonnay vines and ancient limestone vineyards. Until quite recently, Emilie's vines supplied a significant amount of juice for the celebrated Chavost co-op, but we were thrilled when she started to offer estate bottled wines in the US starting in 2022. Across the board, these spectacular Champagnes are insanely delicious, complex, and priced far, far below their actual value.
