Do you love biodynamic wines? Are you curious about the principles behind biodynamic vineyard practices? Or perhaps you’ve never explored the world of biodynamics and are eager to learn more? We’re thrilled to announce our next tasting series—a two-part deep dive into biodynamic wines—with our friend Bryan Schlessel of Jenny & François Selections.

Together, we’ll explore the foundations of biodynamics, taste an exciting selection of wines from France, Italy, and beyond, and discuss the impact of the biodynamic calendar on both farming and wine drinking. Originally developed by German farmer Maria Thun, this lunar-based calendar guides farmers on the best days for planting, sowing, and harvesting. But did you know it also suggests the best days to drink wine? 

The month calendar is broken up into fruit, leaf, flower and root days—with fruit days being the 'best' day to drink wine and root days being the least optimal time. We'll be tasting the same wine lineup on two consecutive Thursday's—one a root day and one a fruit day—putting the biodynamic calendar to the test!
