The walls have art, again! Local artist Jake Shapiro has hung the full spectrum of his multidimensional, textured art on all of our walls and we are excited to show it off! Even better, we’re also tasting a full spectrum of Italian wines. We’re going to start with some bubbles when you walk in. Then we’ll have a white from Piemonte, a rosé from Abruzzo and a red from Sardinia. What better way to start your Friday than to look at some amazing art and drink gorgeous Italian wine.
A little bit about Jake’s art in his own words:
My mixed-media paintings depict fictional collaged worlds that question cultural and social norms. I compile sourced and personal images, collaging and redrawing them digitally as flat geometric shapes. I use this collaged drawing as a template for the artwork, using various mediums to produce a spectrum of representation and abstraction to put the real and imaginary in conversation.
